A subtle, creaky sleep song
This track was recorded as part of our “Sleep Music Against Abuse” fundraiser in 2017. That project was able to raise over $700 in donations to a local women’s shelter. Thank you to everyone who took part! Now that Sounds Like An Earful is supported by Patreon, I’m really excited to be able to release all of the music produced during that project for all of you to use freely!
This was the second song I recorded during the fundraiser. I had establish a general sonic landscape (the soft blips with gentle found sound percussion) and this track was me refining that sound. The story behind the name is pretty literal – I remember being a kid and having enough time and curiosity about the world to just sit on a log, tapping on it with a stick, counting to 80 and then starting over. Why? I’m honestly not sure. You can here my attempt to recreate that ‘counting’ with some of the found sound percussion I’ve included.
I hope this track can make a great subtle backdrop for your more relaxed projects!
